During the annual General Chapter of the Grand Priory of France in Saint-Bertrands-de-Comminges on December 9th, 2023, His Holiness Jacques III, Patriarch of Antioch and Jerusalem, solemnly assumed the Spiritual Protectorate over our Order.
Professor Dr.hc Jacques III, born in Mans on December 17th, 1945, was ordained as a monk on December 17th, 1988, Bishop on April 2nd, 2011, appointed Archbishop on May 7th, 2012 and on October 10th, 2015 elected Patriarch. He is the recipient of numerous high decorations. He is next to the Swedish Bishop Emeritus. Dr. Bengt Wandensjö, EGCLJ, now the second Ecclesiastical Protector of our Order.
